All Indian Premier League teams will be looking to release some under performing players from their teams so that they can buy some new and upcoming talent for the next season. The deadline to release players is November 15. With Chennai doing brilliantly well in their comeback season last year, they’ll want to match that performance. For that, they’ll want to strengthen their squad even further. So here are 3 players who Chennai Superkings might release ahead of the next auction
1. Faf DuPlessis- With Rayudu doing well up top Chennai can do without the South African captain. Instead they can invest in another overseas fast bowler if they need.
2. Mark Wood- His pace on slow Indian pitches can go against him. Chennai can look to invest in another middle order batsman instead of the this English fast bowler as they already have David Willey and Lungisani Ngidi in the squad.
3. Harbhajan Singh- The team already has enough spin options in the team. With the likes of Imran Tahir, Ravi Jadeja, Mitchell Santner, Karn Sharma, Suresh Raina and Kedar Jadhav, Harbhajan Singh can be instead added to the squad as a bowling coach rather than a teammate.
